Modified Rolls - Romance in RPGs
Our second Modified Rolls episode of 2022 leading up to (yes, really this time) our Good Society series to start off the year with class and juicy drama is all about Romance! No matter what game you're playing, what genre you enjoy, or what you're into, most games will brush up against some PC / NPC or even PC / PC romantic tension. How do you do this at the table without making it awkward? How do you do it so it's rewarding but not gratuitous or pointless? These are the things we discuss in our episode today.
Have you ever had a romantic storyline for your characters in an RPG? How did it go? Did your DM do anything to make it a valuable part of the story or just let it be a bit of background for your character? Let us know!
Content Warning: Cheesy Pick-Up Lines, Something About Making Wood Grow?, Porn in the Corn
Games Mentioned in this Episode: Monsterhearts 2 (& safety sheet Safe Hearts) | Pasion de las Pasiones | Good Society | Shadows of Esteren | Star-Crossed | Pathfinder
