One-Player One-Shot | Anamnesis

You may be influenced by your past, but those events do not define you or determine where you go from here.
 
Anamnesis is an amazing journaling solo-player game by Samantha Leigh where you play a character who wakes up with memory loss. It uses a deck of tarot cards and splits the game up into 5 Acts with prompts to jog the memories of your character.  Check it out!
 
You're probably not supposed to play yourself, you're probably supposed to experience this from a fictional character's perspective, but Rene's an idiot and apparently wanted to have a long-overdue letting go of some of his past, so he did it in a game.  Typical Rene.
 
This game contains a bunch of music from my bands throughout the years.  I hope you enjoy the little snippets, but if you just skip through them, I totally get that, too.

Ghost Club One-Shot

Continuing the off-week actual play content, Rene sat down with his wife Lynn to record a 2 player GMless session of Ghost Club by Andrew Dowell.  Taking the role of teenage ghost hunters in Twin Falls, the players explore haunted locations and collect clues needed to summon, confront, and banish the ghosts of their home town.  Designed for younger players, it was a really fun time, even though we definitely forgot some rules and bent some others.

Playing With Myself (On The Internet) | Colostle Finale Part 1

It's the finale, we're approaching the end of our time in the Roomlands and Colostle by Nich Angell, but there's plenty to do, so let's get to it...
 
Marco, Berger, and Alis venture into the Crackway in the wall of the oceanic room and find more Bastions, but this time, they aren't hostile or serving a trapped ancient Rook.  They meet Null, a Bastion who can guide them through the Crackways using the ancient monoliths.  Following Null, the crew find another of the glyphs on Marco's familial map above a stairway leading out into a Tundroom and brave the harsh elements, an Ice Rook, a tribal Rooknaught crew, and finally approach one of these mysterious sites...

RuneQuest Episode 2 | Six Seasons In Sartar - The Path of Heort

Live and in Heortling, welcome to the second initiation episode of our series running Andrew Montgomery's Six Seasons in Sartar campaign for Chaosium's RuneQuest roleplaying game.  This time, it's the boys' turn to go through the rite of passage to manhood.
 
Glorantha is a world of myths, gods, and legends come to life.  A Bronze Age world of heroes and great villains, triumphs and failures on a cosmic scale.  The initiation for the males of the Clan explores these myths, the history of their people, their gods, their stories come to life. Follow Descara, Kymrese, Ruen, and Venaran as they, along with other tribe initiates Daersten and Affal, as they come to terms with their place in the Clan, confront themselves as they were, and see the path before them to who they could be.

First things first, check out the Solo But Not Alone 3 on Itch.io! It's an incredible collection of solo-oriented indie RPGs and is raising money for the Jasper's Game Day charity for suicide prevention and awareness.  Great games and a great cause!
 
In the penultimate episode of my time in Colostle, Marco, Berger, and Alis are the new owners of a legendary Astrolithic Rook, a pilot-able flying stronghold for our protagonists.  However, atop the Battlements with cultists and nomads alike staring down a hole in a roof descending to an oceanic room far below, work remains to be done.  I hope you enjoy the last few episodes as we wrap up this series, but don't worry, I'm not done with Playing With Myself (On The Internet) just yet.

Greetings in Heortling and welcome to the very first episode of our series running Andrew Montgomery's Six Seasons in Sartar campaign for Chaosium's RuneQuest roleplaying game.
 
Glorantha is a world of myths, gods, and legends come to life.  A Bronze Age world of heroes and great villains, triumphs and failures on a cosmic scale.
 
In our introductory episode, meet the cast of young characters from the Haraborn Tribe of the Colymar Clan in Sartar as they approach their rites of initiation into adulthood.  This episode revolves around Aurisa the Pale, a young woman inflicted with an inherited spiritual disease destined to become a healer.
